July is World Watercolour Month and a great way to celebrate is to create a card using a watercolour technique, watercolour wash! Today's card shows how to create a watercolour card with Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set. You can change up the colours depending on which designer series paper you use. I just had to chose purple as it's my favourite colour!
A watercolour wash is putting 2 or more ink colours onto a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolour paper using the large Water Painter. When you put the watered ink onto the watercolour paper make sure to use enough water so that your colours merge a little. I used leftover pieces, from cutting the watercolour paper down, to check the order of colours. The colours pictured above are ones I used for a similar card that was shared on Instagram.
When stamping the Butterfly Brilliance stamp with Black Memento ink it's best to use the Stamparatus. This tool keeps the stamp and watercolour paper in the same place so that you can ink up the stamp multiple times to have a crisper stamped image. The Fluid 100 Watercolour paper needs more ink for the image to show well.

Make those butterflies pop! Using the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush along with the ink colours you can add some sparkle and darken the butterflies to create contrast on your card. Be careful not to squeeze the Wink of Stella too much or you will have a glob of glitter! I suggest squeezing it onto a clear block to achieve an even coating.
